Strengthening The Effectiveness of Policies for eUropean Pedestrians (STEP-UP) is an innovative European project, supported by 8 city and regional partners, aiming to ensure the many walking policies that are emerging at all levels are as effective as possible at delivering the shared vision for a safer, healthier, cleaner and more sustainable Europe.

Empowering young people
This ERASMUS funded project is empowering youth in Malta and Cyprus to identify, analyse, and design safer, healthier, and more inclusive transport environments that meet their needs. Using accessible tools young students are proposing their own street interventions for safer, more accessible, comfortable and enjoyable walking experiences – especially around their schools.
