In memoriam Mayor Park Won-soon

We were deeply saddened to hear of Mayor Park’s passing. He was an active champion of walking for the citizens of Seoul and promoted sustainable transport around the world. Jim first met him when he joined the opening of the Seoullo1770 skygarden – an overpass highway transformed into a pedestrian oasis.

When asked why he commissioned it, Mayor Park explained he had 10 million reasons (the number of citizens in Seoul) all of who deserve a walkable city.
