More Footprints = Less Carbon

With COP25 saved by Madrid and looking to address the Climate Emergency we face, we cannot stress enough: Provision for and promotion of walking offers a viable strategy for reducing our carbon footprint.

Walking is the only transport mode that is practically emissions free as it requires no external transport vehicle thus no external (fossil) energy input. Therefore communities that are walkable and liveable will help to reduce overall CO2 emissions. Every trip that is shifted from a motorized transport mode to walking or walking and public transport equals saved emissions.

During COP25 we call on you to raise your voice for walking in your community, your city, your country. You can show your support for walking and demand improvements for walking conditions by signing The International Charter for Walking. And use the messages below in your social media channels.
